JOHNNY
HALLYDAY
April
2009
After being asked to interpret designers visual image and make a Maquette, a
painted 3D sculpted model, Perry Scenic was commissioned in the face of stiff
European Competition to produce a number of huge sculptured pieces to tour with
the set of the famous French rock singer Johnny Hallyday. Without giving too
much away in advance of the tour, we can say that in order to produce these incredibly
detailed large scale pieces suitable for a European Tour and within the desired
budget Perry Scenic has been working cost effectively with some of the latest
engineering and design processes technically available. To any fortunate enough
to see the show and set, we think you will agree the results are stunning.

The BRIT AWARDS 2009 saw Perry Scenic returning to look after an artist on this
prestigious occasion in the Music Calander. The Pet Shop Boys won a Brit Award
for their lifetime contribution to music. Perry Scenic was commissioned to build
the set and look after it for the performance at the televised award ceremony.
It involved a 20ft high rolling steel and timber clad set with built in lighting,
along with large profiles of Neil and Chris framing the video screens. |

YUMI
MATSOYOTA
February 2009
Perry Scenic was thrilled that Mark Fisher again commissioned
Perry Scenic to produce large scenic painted backdrops for
the celebrated Japanese singer Yumi Matsoyota, following
our producing a large scenic painted backdrop of a fairground
for her previous tour. That backdrop had been originally
planned as a printed backdrop, but was hand painted to be
sure of attaining the best quality results. On this occasion
a combination of quality hand painting and traditional theatrical
drapery skills have helped manufacture the big stage looks
for this forthcoming tour and enhance the spectacle of this
singer’s highly acclaimed stage shows. |

PINK
"FUNHOUSE" Tour 2009
January 2009
For the Pink Fun House Tour 2009 we were thrilled
to produce intricate hand painted large scenic gauzes with
an exceptionally high quality artistic finish at a rate highly
competitive with that if the gauzes were printed. The Designer,
Mark Fisher was pleased not only with quality and clarity of
the artwork, but also with the price. Perry Scenic was delighted
to be able to offer outstanding value. On this occasion we
felt the quality of the finished product could be considerably
lifted by a hand painted finish, made possible within the budget
by crafting new techniques for this type of scenic artwork.

BBC
SWITCH LIVE
October 2008
Within about ten days from commission, from concept visuals Perry Scenic produced
a workable design for , built and Site Rigged the Stage Set for BBCs enormously
popular music event. We worked on site to look after the set during the performance
of the Live Event, and de-rigged the set. All were very pleased with the set,
it was a viable interpretation of the design within a short time scale and the
desired budget, and by the way, it looked great! |

MADONNA
“STICKY & SWEET” TOUR 2008
September 2008
Leading USA Designer Roy Bennett again approached Perry Scenic
to assist with this high profile tour by producing massive
PA Scrims to wing the Stadium Tour Set. As with the previous
Madonna “Confessions” Tour in 206, where Perry Scenic Produced
huge PA Scrims with Rearing Horse artwork with special effects
finishing, in this case aswell high demands were to be made
of these PA Scrims. They would have to cover the huge sets
of speakers., with a special effects finish which did not interfere
with the quality of the sound. Perry Scenic researched several
alternative design proposals which could produce special effects
in line with those discussed within the budget and further
requirments for touring. The 70ft by 40 ft PA scrims should
represent an angled 3D metallic Letter M. Each of the scrim
would also have to derig and pack away in minutes, to free
the sound guys to work intensively on their equipment at the
end of the show, and to endure a gruelling world tour to remain
in top quality condition for a DVD shoot at the end of the
run. Roy finally opted for our special effects trompe d’oleil
painted option, confident we would deliver the required quality.
As can be seen from the reference photograph taken in the most
unflattering conditions of natural daylight ( the paint effects
are designed for nightime lighting under show lights), even
here the “M”’s are delivering a stunning 3D effect, remember
this is a painted scrim!
